Pollock

So I have been working on a project to hang about our couch in our apartment. This is my progress. Basically what I did was I went around and took pictures that look like letters and spelled out Pollock. I have also started working on the word love. If you are interested in a personal letters in pictures please email me at rebekah@rebekahpollock.com.

Anniversary

Wow! This year has gone by so fast! It is my anniversary today. My husband and I have been married for exactly one year. Seems so weird to have been married for that long. I'm sure five years will come sooner than I think as well. Not much has happened this year. We still live in the small, overpriced apartment in Schaumburg, IL. Ryan is still an assistant manager at Walmart. (hopefully that will change in August) I am still in school at Harrington College of design. (That will change in August :) ) No children yet. (not even a puppy) Just one year happier as a couple. For those of you who don't know, Ryan and I met at walmart. Ryan was an department manager over pets and I was a cashier. One of my friends, Blake, was also one of his associates. Everyday Blake would come up to me and say, "What are you doing tonight?" and I would reply nothing. Then Blake would say, "Well then you are going to go out with my department manager." Of course I always said no. One day I got a text message from Ryan and we began to talk. And the rest is history from there. I'm so glad that I became part of the Pollock family. I love Ryan very much and am excited to see where a new year takes us.

Golfing

Yesterday, Ryan and I went to the driving range. It was pretty fun. I didn't do near as good as I did the first time.. guess it was beginners luck. Ryan of course did good.. He even drove one that hit the net which is somewhere between 250 and 300 yards! (I was very impressed) The farthest I hit it was around 180. I guess that's pretty good for it only being me second time. After doing that we came home and had brats and watch Iron Man so we can go see the second one soon. (Hopefully today.. I'm gonna try to convince Ryan to take me on a date ;) ) Here is a picture I took at the driving range. Thanks for reading!

Lightening

So the other day we got a pretty big thunderstorm. I was so excited cause you could actually see the lightening bolts. Obviously I took pictures so I thought I would share with you the best picture from the shoot. I took pictures for about two hours and only got one picture I really loved. Patience.

Katelin and Scott

This last saturday I got the opportunity to take photos at a friends wedding. I wasn't the main photographer, which is nice for me to be able to get pictures for my portfolio without having the stress of not getting everything the client wants. The other photographer, Emily McArthur (www.emilymcarthur.com), was great to work with. She was super nice and had no problem with me hanging out and taking pictures.
Katelin made such a beautiful bride. It was easy getting great photos of her and her new husband Scott. They got married at Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista, AR and then had their reception at Simple Pleasures which is also in Bella Vista. It was my first time to go out to Simple pleasures and I have to say it is a very fun, interesting place. There were tons of places to take photos and I got quite a few good ones. Thanks for checking out my blog and Thank you to Katelin and Scott for including me in your special day.

Kadence

Wow, It has been a busy last few weeks. I went to Arkansas to surprise my mom for her birthday, started school for the summer, went back to Arkansas for graduation and a wedding, and just yesterday got back home. So this post is long over due.
When I went down to Arkansas the first time I took pictures of my sister, which was the last post, but I also got to shoot my niece, Kadence. We went to Bogel Park in Bentonville to take the pictures. We were all over the park. I would ask here where she would want to go and we would go to the opposite corner, but got some great shots because of it.

My sister and I took her to lunch at World Garden (If you haven't tried it.. you should it's great) and got our nails done so that was great fun. While I was down there, I took some pictures of my sister, Nikki. They turned out pretty good. So here are those. Be sure to check back soon I have some cute pictures of my niece to come.
